Six from the Taos Tigers football team received All-District honors for their efforts in their respective positions at the end-of-the season coaches meeting held Nov. 6.
Making this year’s list was senior quarterback, Jude Suazo; senior lineman, Amos Duran; senior tight-end, Santiago Cortez; senior wide-receiver, Mateo Sisneros; senior lineman, Aidan Leblanc and senior lineman, Shane Martínez.
This is the second year in a row that Suazo, Duran and Cortez have received All-District honors.
Now that the 2017 football season has officially concluded with the state championships wrapping up Dec. 2, the All-State teams and the North-South All-Stars are set to be named. Meetings are slated to take place in the coming week to make those selections, and Taos will find out if any of its players will be recognized as such.
