We will miss Donna. After relocating from Taos, we kept in touch and my boys and I have sweet memories of Donna in Taos, and when she came to Albuquerque for her medical treatment. She loved children and always had special treats and gifts for my sons who adored all the attention and love she showed them.

These are just a few of the memories my boys and I spoke of after hearing of Donna's passing.

They remembered going to the cinema in Taos with Donna, sneaking in 'nutrional yeast", to add to her popcorn. One of Donna's favorites.

They remebered helping her decorate the coffee shop for Christmas and going shopping together for just the right seasonal decorations to accent her beautiful artwork at Java.

The boys knew that many of the paintings in her coffee cafe were painted by her.

Donna took great pride in having a welcome atmosphere at Java and her home as well.

My kiddos loved her little dogs and loved playing with them. So much so, that I 'promised' to get a dog that 'never gets big' once we moved into our forever home. We now have small dogs too and The boys added this memory to the discussion.

My boys said that Donna almost always was smiling and that made them feel happy to know her.

At Taos Java, Donna and Brenda both, enjoyed my kiddos, showing this with their special twinkles in their eyes , talking with my them. I saw Donna's love for all the children that came in Java was obvious. taking time to greet them and adding 'special decorations' on their drinks.

My young guys saw Donna last this spring,

We closed our discussion of memories, with the Windchime that plays beautiful music outside on our patio, a gift from Donna. Javi and Santi remembered the Harp in her living room. They said they think Donna is playing a harp in heaven now.

Thank you Donna for all of your love and the beautiful memories you have given us.
