All three sitting councilors in Angel Fire were re-elected to their posts during the March 6 municipal elections.
Bill Humbert was elected to a two-year councilor term with 125 votes, beating out John Ervin Hail, Jr.'s 118 votes and Dafydd Pritchard's 14. The two-year term came about because his seat was vacated soon after the previous election; Humbert was appointed to fill that vacancy and will retain it until the 2020 election.
Two sitting councilors were elected to serve another four-year term. Rogers Lanon, a real estate agent with Re/Max, was the top vote-getter with 176 votes. Charles "Chuck" Howe, the 78-year-old mayor pro tem, took home 162 votes.
Jo Mixon, a political newcomer and leader of the Angel Fire Chamber of Commerce, garnered 150 votes in the race against Howe and Lanon.
