Injured veteran thanks senior center residents

Sometimes an accident gives us an unexpected gift.

Estanislado Pacheco, who likes to go by the name “Randy,” is from New Mexico, although he currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is a retired disabled U.S. Air Force veteran. While visiting family in Taos, he fell off his truck and seriously hurt himself. He has been receiving therapy and care at Taos Living Center for the past three months.

Pacheco gives all his thanks to the seniors who have helped him through this. He said he had overcome many difficulties and has gained confidence from the elderly and sick. “I’ve learned that they have become a family and helped me overcome this injury,” Pacheco said. “During this time, I have made really close friends I will hold in my heart forever. We have all become a close family. Thanks to everyone from the Taos Living Center who helped me overcome the injuries. These will be memories I will hold in my heart and treasure for the rest of my life.”
