Ryan Griffin, a Sandoval County Detention Center inmate who was mistakenly released from prison yesterday afternoon (July 26), has been captured in Albuquerque.
New Mexico State Police arrested the suspect just after 3 a.m. near Arroyo Vista and Interstate 40.
Griffin had successfully posed as another inmate when he was released around 1 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, Sandoval County Spokesperson Sidney Hill confirmed.
The inmate had been incarcerated on multiple felony fraud burglary charges.
Surveillance camera images caught some of Griffin's movements as he spent hours on the run, including one captured at a Walmart in Bernalillo County.
