Letter to the Editor: Some once-common attitudes now the exception

Posted

Do you remember...

When common sense and common courtesy really were common?

When high quality goods and services were the norm, rather than the exception?

When knowing and interacting with your neighbors was the norm, rather than the exception?

When helping each other was the norm, rather than the exception?

When returning phone calls was the norm, rather than the exception?

I can go on with more examples and many of you can think of some on your own, but I think you know what I am getting at. None of these things that I have mentioned have completely gone by the wayside yet. I believe that if all of us were to remember these things and did more to revive them in our lives; many of us would be happier and more satisfied.
