The following is a condensed version of Taos County police reports from Jan. 10-15.
7:42 a.m. Traffic accident, injury, La Posta Road – A woman driving a white Jeep Cherokee had crashed into a guardrail by a ditch. The woman seemed to be unharmed but was very upset.
12:08 p.m. Alcohol offense adult, Cruz Alta Road – A highly intoxicated man wearing a blue jacket was stopping traffic.
3:15 p.m. Shoplifting, Albertsons – Two women were putting items into their purses. One was pregnant and both had children with them.
4:27 p.m. Suspicious circumstance, Paseo del Pueblo Norte – The caller said that some kids had been in their shop and had dropped some sort of drug on the floor.
10:15 p.m. Harassment, Shell gas station, 5280 Paseo del Pueblo Sur – The caller advised that a man in a brown Chevy Blazer was chasing him.
11:53 p.m. Law, unknown problem, Hill Drive – The caller said she was alone in her house with her cat and had heard a strange noise.
6:22 a.m. Disturbing the peace, Gusdorf Road – The caller said he could hear his neighbor fighting with his girlfriend and throwing things.
10:55 a.m. Information report, Gusdorf Road – A man was seen carrying a woman over his shoulder. The woman was screaming at the man to let her go.
12:03 p.m. Disorderly conduct, Saint James Episcopal Church – The caller said they had found a man who was possibly overdosing. The man was breathing but unresponsive.
1:08 p.m. Suspicious circumstance, Fred Baca Park – Two drivers, one in a white car and another in a black truck, were seen passing something back and forth. The caller suspected they were exchanging drugs.
5:05 p.m. Battery, Bent Street – Two men were fighting with each other.
6:55 p.m. Warrant, Martyrs Steakhouse – The caller said that her mom had stolen her friend’s silver Dodge Neon.
12:45 p.m. Breaking and entering, Martinez Lane – A man returned home and found that his house had been broken into. His safe had been cleaned out. He wasn’t sure what else had been taken. He said the back door was unlocked.
7:02 p.m. Battery, Albertsons – The caller said that a person was injured in front of Albertsons.
12:22 a.m. Disturbing the peace, Montoya Street – The caller said their neighbors’ dogs had been barking for an hour.
12:44 p.m. Welfare check, Walgreens – The caller wanted to report that a young Native American woman was outside the story, very thin and cold. They were requesting an officer check on her.
6:25 p.m. Traffic accident, injury, Wal-Mart – Two vehicles crashed into one another near the traffic light. The caller said it appeared to be a “T-bone” crash. Smoke was coming from one of the vehicles.
12:20 a.m. Disturbing the peace, El Camino Lodge – The caller said he had been getting multiple complaints regarding two men in a room who were playing loud music and possibly doing drugs.
3:39 a.m. Welfare check, Holy Cross Hospital – The caller said a man wearing a Santa hat was parked outside in a green Honda.
3:58 a.m. Domestic disturbance, Vegas de Taos Road – The caller said that a woman had been drinking and was planning to drive.
11:44 a.m. Larceny, Amor Lane – The caller had just returned home and said that her wallet had been taken from her house.
3:55 p.m. Law, unknown problem, Ace Hardware, 223 Paseo del Pueblo Sur – A man was yelling at other customers and himself. He also threw something on the roof.
5:31 p.m. Welfare check, Paseo del Cañon West – A man was sitting on the curb flagging down traffic.
10:03 p.m. Shots fired, Romero Road – The caller said that someone in a vehicle shot at him and his kids.
5:32 a.m. Prowler, Camino de la Merced – The caller said that a bearded man with a machete was looking through her windows.
8:35 a.m. Law, unknown problem, Ace Hardware, 223 Paseo del Pueblo Sur – A homeless man was throwing things at customers in the parking lot and was throwing things on the roof.
10:30 a.m. Traffic accident, private property, Blake’s Lotaburger (south) – The caller said he was pulling out of the parking lot and another vehicle hit him.
11:14 a.m. Welfare check, Shell gas station, 1137 Paseo del Pueblo Sur – A man was passed out on the side of the building. The caller said he could be very combative.
1:27 p.m. Welfare check, Dollar General – A woman wearing a robe and nothing else was sitting on the curb.
2:34 p.m. Shoplifting, Taos Rockers – The caller said two rock spheres had been stolen from their shop.
4:43 p.m. Animal bite, Gusdorf Place – The caller said that a dog in the area had just bitten her child.
9:46 p.m. Breaking and entering, Camino de la Serna – A woman said she found her back door open. Her jewelry was missing, along with everything in her closet. She said she didn’t notice anyone inside the residence.
