Action at the Taos County Sheriff's Posse Rodeo de Taos can bring fans to the edge of their seats and participants straight to their seats. This year's event is the 50th annual and will take place June 24-25. Events at this will begin at 2 p.m. on both days and will include all the fan favorites, such as barrel racing, calf roping, steer wrestling, team roping, bronc riding and bareback bull riding. Kids events include the greased pig chase, calf scramble, boot scramble, barrel racing, pole bending and goat tying. The Rodeo de Taos parade will kick-start the weekend, commencing at 10 a.m. Saturday (June 24), following the usual parade route from the post office in Taos on Paseo del Pueblo Norte to the Taos County Courthouse.
