Students have organized a national school walkout day April 20, the anniversary of the shooting at Columbine High School in Colorado in 1999, where two students opened fire killing 12 of other students and a teacher. Mass student walkouts began following the Feb. 14 shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida high school in which 17 people died and 17 wounded. Some have questioned whether students should be allowed to walkout of class.

Civil disobedience is not about being allowed to do something. It's about doing something that is not allowed to be heard.
