Taos Winter Market Saturday

Posted

The winter market in Taos continues Saturday (Feb. 10) with goods from more than 25 vendors, mostly natives of Taos, according to organizer Alexandra Rose.

The market is held from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadulpe Church gym. A special feature will be beautiful landscape and trees watercolors by Bruce Brown and Eli Levin, interesting woodwork by Mahler Murphy, who makes 7-foot benches in the form of lions with tail and head. In addition, father and son Jerry and Joshua Wabinga will show their flat metal profiles of animals that can be hung on the wall. Their recent work featured a buffalo, bucking horses and "a marvelous metallic St. Francis de Asis," said Rose in her email.

Rose invites people to come support local artisans at the event.
