The Taos Valley Watershed Coalition will gather for its final meeting of the year next Monday, Oct. 2.
The meeting is scheduled to take place from 2-4 p.m. in the Los Angelitos Room at the Taos Civic Center, 120 Civic Plaza Drive in Taos.
Among the items to be discussed are management recommendations from a recently completed fire history study and updates on federal environmental reviews for projects in San Cristobal, along State Road 150 near Taos Ski Valley, McGaffey Ridge and Pueblo Ridge.
Also on the agenda are items concerning the La Jara wetland restoration and Río Fernando de Taos revitalization.
The coalition has been active for about three years and is planning for long-term restoration of the forests and waterways of Northern New Mexico. This will be the last meeting for the coalition this year.
