The affable, eminently likable Dean, considered a stalwart of journalism in New Mexico, died unexpectedly Sunday at his Santa Fe home, said his wife, Toni Dean. He was 65. Jeffrey Harper Cottam Passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at the age of 64. He was born in Taos, New Mexico on August 25, 1955, and was the second son to Brooke and Phoebe Cottam. Jeffrey grew up skiing in his hometown of Taos, where he would later go on to ski race competitively on a national level for the University of New Mexico. He had an immense passion for teaching young people and went on to share his love of skiing by coaching young ski teams from Sandia Peak, Los Alamos and Angel Fire. more
