Angel Fire Resort is offering a discounted season pass to K-12 teachers.
The teacher pass is available for $99 with no blackout dates. Regular peak season adult passes run $79 for one day up to $339 for five days.
"With school starting back up, there's no better time to offer teachers a discount on our season pass," Robin May, ski and snowboard school director, said. "We know as classes begin many teachers have to plan their holiday plans well in advance. We're offering the teacher season pass early in the year to help educators as they begin planning their winter holidays."
The pass is designed to thank educators for the work they do with students by offering an affordable ski experience throughout the 2018-2019 season, according to the resort.
"We can't thank teachers enough for the incredible work they do educating children. Their lives are dedicated to work that is often overlooked," May added.
The pass special introductory price is being offered for $99 starting today through Dec. 13, the day before opening day. The teacher pass will increase to $199 on opening day. Angel Fire Resort's winter season is Dec. 14, 2018 - March 24, 2019. Teacher pass holders can also get 25 percent discounts on lodging at hotel rooms, condos and private homes during select dates.
While the teacher pass can be purchased online now, teachers will need to present their ID and a current pay stub from a school anywhere in the country to validate the pass on their first day of use. Additionally, the teacher pass may be purchased at the ticket window once the ski season has started. The teacher pass is not eligible to be a part of the Powder Alliance Pass program.
