AARP SMART DRIVER SAFETY COURSE will be offered May 14 from noon to 4:45p.m. at Coronado Hall (120 Civic Plaza Drive Taos, NM; across from the old Convention Center building, now UNM). Registration is from 11:30-11:50 a.m. This is a refresher class for older drivers; it does not include driving or written tests and participants can receive a discount on their auto insurance. HELP NM, INC. – CACFP. The organization provides help with out-of-pocket expenses incurred serving nutritious meals for children. CAT AND DOG SPAY/NEUTER, VACCINE PROGRAM for the town of Taos, Taos County and Taos Pueblo residents' dogs and cats. Lower-income pet owners and all feral/ outdoor/ barn cat owners are eligible for free dog and cat spay/neuter and vaccine services at Española Valley Humane Society, (505) 753-0228. Dogs and cats must be between 8 weeks and 8 years of age.

CAT SPAYING/NEUTERING: Free pet cat spaying/ neutering is available with a voucher in Taos from the  Zimmer Feline Foundation. Call (505) 466-1676. Town of Taos, Taos County and Taos Pueblo cats are eligible.

PLANNED PETHOOD TAOS is giving away $100 in a raffle for Taos Town/County/Pueblo cats fixed for free at the Española Humane (505)753-0228 between February 28 and April 13. One raffle entry per cat.
