Area ski resorts report more than a foot of snow

Sunday evening snowstorm starts the workweek off right for powder hounds

6 a.m. – Taos Ski Valley tweeted it's received 13 inches of the white fluffy stuff in the past 24 hour beginning on Sunday (Nov. 11).

8 a.m. update – Red River Ski and Summer Area has reported 16 inches of snow.

3 p.m. update – Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort reports 13 inches snowfall. On November 8, the resort had announced it is opening early on Friday (Nov. 16). "Thanks to our state-of-the-art snowmaking equipment and cooperation from Mother Nature, Sipapu will be the first ski resort to open in New Mexico—sixteen years in a row," read an announcement.

Angel Fire Resort had announced 8 inches of snow on Sunday and that it was "still coming down."
