The 34th annual Thanksgiving Powwow at Taos Pueblo was a benefit for the Taos Day School. Many kids from the tribe's Headstart school were also on-hand to participate in the intertribal dances.

Master of Ceremonies was well-known community member Pat Romero, who is also the emcee for the weekly "Moccasin Wire" radio show on KTAO-FM 101.9. Head Man dancer was Aaron Fry of Albuquerque and Head Woman Dancer was Joanne Marcus-Romero of Taos Pueblo.

The powwow is an annual benefit for Taos Pueblo's Bureau of Indian Affairs-run Taos Day School. For more information, contact the TDS Parent-Teacher Organization President Kimberly Marcus at (575) 758-3652.
