Spring trainings and workshops are ramping up at the Equine Spirit Sanctuary in Taos.

Volunteer training for the therapeutic riding program will be held Wednesday afternoons, May 16, 23, and 30 starting at 1 p.m. Vounteers interested in helping with the program must attend. No experience is necessary. Therapeutic riding lessons will begin the first week of June, every Wednesday.

On May 26, the sanctuary will host its Spring Open House from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Official kickoff for our summer programs, free pony rides for the kids, grooming corral with the mini donkeys and an open barn.

In addition, veterinarian Tomas Teskey will conduct a clinic June 2 and 3 for horse owners interested in learning more about hoof care, nutrition and equine well-being. There is a fee associated with the two-day workshop.
