An open letter to the Taos town council and Taos Pueblo Elders: I was born in New Mexico 71 years ago and moved to Taos a year ago.
My major concern is regarding the lack of precipitation in the area. I feel we must explore avenues that can be utilized to address the issue, no matter how much “off the wall” they may seem. That being said, I am proposing to the town council that they respectfully appeal to the Taos Pueblo Elders to see if there is a snow or rain dance ceremony that can be done. If so, I would suggest that it be open to the public so that as much spiritual energy and vibrations can be emitted toward that goal.
One must believe. What can it hurt? Thank you for your consideration.
