Drivers on Paseo Del Pueblo Sur in Taos will continue to see delays through the summer with the New Mexico Department of Transportation limiting north and southbound traffic on the road to one lane in each direction as crews repair and improve sidewalks.
Crews also have shut down access to Chamisa Road, which will remain closed until mid-July, according to state DOT officials. Drivers are encouraged to use Este Es Road instead.
As part of the first phase of construction along the highway into downtown Taos, sidewalk and ramp repair will continue in different sections along both sides of the highway. Drivers are urged to use caution in the area and abide by all traffic signs in construction zones.
