Phillip Baca
Age 65, passed away surrounded by his loved ones following a short illness on March 20, 2018. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Cathy Baca, three loving sons, Matthew Baca and future daughter in law, Denise Pacheco, Phil-lip (Ben) Baca and daughter in love, Denise Baca, Christopher Baca and daughter in love, Danielle Baca, loving niece, Breanna Trice and husband, Matthew Trice, loving nephew, Aaron Alaniz and wife Michele Alaniz, ten grandsons, one great-grandson and two grand­daughters, all whom he loved dearly, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents who raised him, Atilano and Apolonita Baca, his mother, Elisa Vigil, stepfather, Rudy Vigil, and mother-in-law, Lydia Anglada. He is also survived by his brother, Duane Vi-gil and loving wife, Dolly Vigil, and Marvin Vigil; sisters, Joyce Vigil (Gene), and Doddie Vigil (Cesar), Sisters in law, Dolores Trujillo, Patsy Alaniz (Andrew), Brother in law, Albert Anglada (Shirley). Phillip loved to coach basketball and baseball including Little League baseball. He loved the New York Yankees and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He was very proud to have served in the New Mexico Army National Guard for 14 years. Phillip's wishes were to be cremated and his ashes spread over the Jicarita Peak in Peñasco, New Mexico. Phillip's family would like to thank all of the people who offered their prayers and support during Phillip's illness and following his death.
