US Senator Tom Udall will visit Taos on Wednesday (Jan. 23), announced Stuart Wilde of Wild Earth Llama Adventures in a press release.
The objective is "to meet with local outfitters, guides, and business owners, to discuss the impacts of the government shutdown on the local economy, outdoor recreation, and public access to public lands."
The meeting will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Taos Fly Shop, 338 Paseo Del Pueblo Sur.
Participants will include Nick Streit, fly fishing guide, and owner of Taos Fly Shop; Cisco Guevara, owner of Los Rios River Runners; Stuart Wilde, wilderness guide and owner of Wild Earth Llama Adventures; Elena Pieper, owner of Mudd n Flood Mountain Shop; Jamie Tedesco, tourism marketing professional and federal contractor; and Dan Barrone, Mayor of Taos.
