Posted

A lightning caused wildfire burning in the Santa Fe National Forest is putting out a lot of smoke, which as of Tuesday (July 9) evening, was settling over Taos.

The smoke is most likely from the Naranjo Fire, said Sharon Sullivan, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Albuquerque.

A NOAA map of smoke showed the plume originating near Regina, New Mexico, which is west of Abiquiu.
