Sounds of summer

Every Thursday evening, locals get a taste of world-class music at Taos Plaza Live

Posted

Most people might not know it, but a lot of anticipation surrounds the announcement of the Taos Plaza Live lineup. With good reason, the choices are hard as a committee works with the Taos County Chamber of Commerce to pick bands and performers they hope will fill the plaza with enthusiastic crowds.

Taos Plaza Live, for those who might not know, is a series of concerts that take place each Thursday evening on Taos Plaza, sponsored by the Chamber, along with generous businesses and organizations. On any given Taos Plaza Live summer night, you may hear Spanish rancheras, country-western, R&B, blues, or hard-driving rock 'n' roll, all while the dance floor in front of the gazebo is filled with locals and visitors dancing away.

It's what community is all about.

Here's who is playing when. Note that some shows will have an early start time to accommodate certain special presentations.
