Taos Inn shares its own brand of holiday magic

Posted

There's no time during the year when the Adobe Bar at the Historic Taos Inn feels more like the "living room of Taos" than during the holiday season, and Saturday (Dec. 7) will not disappoint.

While you are in town enjoying the festivities of Lighting Ledoux, stop by and be a part of Adobe Bar's annual tree lighting ceremony and warm up around the fireplace. The celebration begins at 6 p.m.

The tree in question is a large Christmas Tree set up in the old water well at the center of the Adobe Bar, decorated with hundreds of colorful lights and ornaments which will be illuminated in a special countdown during the evening.

"We are having Christmas carolers and Chicken Sedan will be performing a special Christmas set," said Amber Gann, the administrative coordinator for The Taos Inn. "It will be very festive and a great time."

Chicken Sedan features Cullen Winter (guitar, vocals), Conrad Cooper (bass) and Thomas Ziccarello (drums). They've quickly become one of the most popular local bands, known for their "all Americana, rockabilly, surf, twang, country, hot rod, blues and down home good times."

Check them out on Facebook, then enjoy those good times in person.

The Adobe Bar is located at 145 Paseo del Pueblo Norte. The all-ages event is free and open to the public. For more information, call (575) 758-2233.
